I happen to be listening to Rush today and he brought up an interesting report - one that had numbers something like this:
% of grade schoolers that think they're good at Math: US:34% Korea: 9% Of course it turns out that the Koreans are actually good at math while the US kids suck. The point being that the "self esteem society" that educators seem to push these days has created arrogant morons: kids who's self esteem is derived from others telling them they're great rather than flowing from achievement in a competitive environment. That, of course, is bad news for the country as a whole. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Upgrade to Adobe ColdFusion MX7 Experience Flex 2 & MX7 integration & create powerful cross-platform RIAs http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion/flex2/?sdid=RVJQ Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:231801 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
