Here's a quick feel-good story that just happened 10 minutes ago: An admin's mother was diagnosed with cancer some months ago and has horrendous medical bills that neither she nor her family can afford to pay. To help out, the admin is putting together an event w/ silent auction and was asking around her office for stuff to donate.
It was suggested that she email one of the top executives of the company, Richard Anderson, to get contact info for the company's charity initiatives. Of course the admin panicked at the thought of directly emailing him, but with some encouragement decided to do so anyway. Mr. Anderson responded within 5 minutes with his sympathies and said he would personally donate 2 round trip tickets to anywhere in the world.
