I don't know about that either. Sounds like something Jesse Jackson would have 
said. My opinion: That might be what Jesse Jackson heard, but I doubt Don Imus 
had slavery in mind. 

Whether what he did have in mind was some sort of racist stereotype, well, that 
I don't know. The only time I had ever heard of the man before this was in 
connection with a ranch for disabled or disadvantaged children he runs 
somewhere out past Pecos. I guess I just don't listen to the proper reactionary 
media :) though I was checking out Michael Savage last night, which was 
interesting....he came out in favor of socialized medecine ;)
