Nope, they are not equal (at least not for me, or any of the lawyers I
have ever talked to).

Not Guilty and Guilty are _legal_ decisions.

Innocent is a moral distinction layered on the legal. It has no legal
purpose, but does indicate a difference between "cant prove it" and
"didnt do it"
