The problems I saw were all due to OS upgrades and existing software being
bugged....

I do think that if I would had the chance to throw my 2 cents in, and
suggest a clean install... that most of their issues just wouldn't have
existed on their systems.

They both have fairly new laptops, running 2 Gigs of RAM...

One issue was this weird bug in MS Word 2007 and the new security in
Vista..... Micosoft support suggested a work around....

I can't remember what the problem was exactly with Word and the security....
I haven't upgraded my laptop and am not going to.

You never know..... I'm not writting off Vista all together.

Personally, I just would never upgrade to it until most people encounter the
bugs and patches follow.
