Try DB2... you'll think SQL Management Studio is a gash-damned rocket engine
of speed.  ;^)

I'm not sure if it's just my machine (beefed up for WebSphere development)
but Management Studio seems about the same to me - perhaps a bit slower on
start-up but no slower in usage.  But, like I said, I've got four Gig of RAM
and dual procs... maybe that has something to with it.
