No, I don't think it would have been any different.

There was no stomache to back Imus up, and the professional protesters
were too organized.

How bad _were_ the remarks? (As compared to other things he said on
that show and on previous shows, and held against the light of other
shock-jocks, and held against the light of current content on the air,
and held against current "pop-culture").

Can you explain _exactly_ what was so generally bad about these
remarks? As in country-shaking, protest generating, I should be
completely shocked. (Shocked, I say). never before had something this
bad been said on the radio, string the man up by the short hairs bad.
Was it the "nappy-headed" part of the phrase, or the "ho" part? Or
because the words were used together? Was it because the team was
mostly black, or because they all weren't? Was it because he was
white, or because he was old? Was it because he was on the public
airwaves, or because he was on a "news" channel? Was it because the
description was inaccurate, or because it was too close to the bone?
Was it because it was a slow news day, or because we didnt hear about
it for a week? Was it this one remark, or the straw that broke the
camels back?

(As opposed to what was _specifically_ bad about these remarks. They
were repugnant, and more importantly, completely wrong. So that makes
Imus dumb and unfunny. Is that the real problem?)

You need to help me out here, so I know who to protest against next.
The PC police need to do a better job of letting us know, before hand,
what to be outraged about.
