Criminals should know that if they point a gun at someone, there'll be
20 guns points back at them.

One comment I would like to make concerning this concept.  How many
times in a given persons life are they likely to face an armed criminal.
Contrast this with how many times in a persons life where they may be
faced with an emotionally charged situation where having instant access
to a highly proficient killing device would be a very BAD idea.

If you reply that 'training' would take care of this, how would that
training be applied?  It sure as hell better be a lot more effective
then the training that allows almost anybody to be put in control of
multi-thousand pound killing machines on the roads.
