OK, and what is tieing the hands of the State Police?  The stupid laws that 
were enacted by the state legislative bodies.  Those need to be repealed.

Yeah, I would and probably would be quickly "released" for using excessive 
force.  I'm a warrior, not a peace officer.  I make no apoligies for that, but 
it affects how I do my business.

I'm advocating mandatory trigger locks and concealled carry with seminannual 
live fire certifications.  Even when I was a drunk college studen with a 
firearm I never used it on campus, but it was available.  Plus fireworks were 
much more fun.

I doubt that.  He would have panicked and opened fire, but probably would have 
been killed or injured.  The hypothetical professor, should have draw down from 
behind cover.  That would have minimized his injuries.

The tactical situation there sucked.  The police weren't there to save lives, 
just to contain the situation.  If I were a student there, I would have died 
trying to kill the SOB with my hands.  This was an engineering building, IIRC, 
so there were probably a ton of improvised weapons avaialble.
