I bought that HD video cam I was talking about. 720 smackers......but geez, it is worth it. One of the coolest features is that it can take pictures as your videoing. They're only 3 megapixel, but the convenience factor trumps that. The optical image stabilization also lets me drink as much coffee as I want and still have smooooooooooth recording. The image is superb as it does the 1080i thing.
I'm taking it out for the first time to my daughters soccer game. Maybe this will be the big one where she finally scores a goal! I'll probably post a review (of the camcorder) later. Now I've got to get some stuff up on ebay to offset the cost. This is my third camcorder. My first was a used canon 8mm that was about 14 inches long and very very heavy. I paid $750 for it in 96. The second was a Sharp mini-dv that I got as a demo unit at best buy in 2000 for $400. This one was of course $720. Why am I saying all this?.....I'm still trying to justify spending $720 on a video camera when you can pick up an SD model for under $200 nowadays. Someone tell me I did good..... (because my wife isn't so sure ) :) -- "In my head there is a mirror When I've been bad, I've been wrong Food for the saints that are quick to judge me Hope for a Badman This is the Badman's Song" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Create robust enterprise, web RIAs.
