Why not, show me what law would make that illegal?

People do it all the time, if you have a job that interacts with people
and you believe certain people wouldn't work well in that situation for
whatever reason, then you go with what you think will work.

If you think people won't buy cars from a black man, then you don't have
to hire him. If you feel that the audience for the job won't accept the
applicant, then the qualifications don't matter.
