you asked about an accident on private property, presumably a fender bender in 
a parking lot. I don't know what they do in Kentucky, but around here we 
exchange information for that. Come to think of it that's what you do in 
Maryland too. Cops are for serious accidents, DWIs, hit and runs and accidents 
where the parties disagree on events.
