I dunno.  It seems like they order so much of a series and then air it to 
get a feel for things, then they order a bit more if things go well.  Their 
schedule with BSG has always been odd.  SG1 and Atlantis have become more 
erratic .. at least that is the way it seems.  Many fans of Farscape blame 
its early demise on Sci-Fi's shifting of the show's timeslot all over the 
place, in and out of primetime and to different nights.

Oh, and McKay makes Atlantis .. one of the best spin-off characters ever ;)
