Actually I think the solution is to overthrow the current mexican political
system and replace it. However, that is the job of the mexicans, not me.

>"Illegal immigration is a problem."
>A very complex one! The "gather them all up and deport|jail|shoot them"

They broke the law, period. I personally feel the law is not unjust and
therefore is an ethical law to uphold.

Actually, I don't speed. And I drank at 17, but the laws of Louisiana made
that legal at the time. I will follow any just law and fight any unjust law.

>"They may be hard workers, but they have no respect for the law."
>That is too large a logical leap for me. They broke emigration law,
>they can't be trusted in any way and they must be dealt with in the
>harshest ways! I hope you have never gone over the posted speed limit
>and waited until you where 18|21 before you consumed any alcohol and god
>forbid you have ever partook of a stronger controlled narcotic. Because
>those acts obviously show no respect for the law, so you should be given
>no considerations.

But they refuse to make the hardest choice, the overthrow of the political
system in thier country and implementation of reforms.

So if someone broke into your house, cleaned it up, cut your grass, cooked your
food and all of the chores you hate to do you would let him stay? He's only
trying to make things better for himself and his descendants.

>"They think they are special in some way." Or that many are people
>facing hard choices and doing what they can to better their lives and
>their descendants.

There is no us versus them. It is fair and equal treatment. My ancestors had
to enter this country legally. For most of them it happened in 1803, but there
was a legal process they had to go through. The illegals did not follw any
process except swimming across the Rio Grande.

>Something needs to be done about emigration, but it needs to be looked
>at from all sides, not just an "us verses them," fear mongering
>rhetoric.
