The will of the people?

Polling shows that most people disapprove of the Iraq war. It also shows
that a majority of Americans understand that we must create a much more
stable environment in Iraq before we can leave those people to their fate.

So I completely reject the notion that it is "the will of the people" for us
to suddenly withdraw all our troops from iraq, consequences be damned.
