If that's the case--and it looks as though it is--get him out of the
job, he didn't earn it, he doesn't deserve it, he's certainly not
doing the administration any favors by staying there.

The man needs to take responsibility for the actions of his
subordinates, especially when they are subordinates of that high a
level.

And no, I don't think the Gonzo issue should be used to indict the
whole of the administration, but it goes to character your honor. It
fits nicely with the pattern shown so often in this admnistration.
Appoint those that are close, regardless of qualifications, then when
they eff something up blame it on unsupportive staff and a combative
liberal media.
