My ex father in law, would go out in the beginning of deer season, bag his quota, which in Va. I think is one or two, and go home and butcher them. His deer season usually lasted a few hours.
He hunted deer to make his venison barbeque, venison burgers and deer steaks. The man could work magic with deer meat. He'd use every edible cut of the deer, if it had a saleable skin he'd sell it for jackets and boots, and then bury the carcasses deep on his land. I don't have a problem with hunting, if your going to use what you kill, for food or clothing. Trophy hunters make me nauseous, the guy that lived over his garage, killed a bear, took pictures of it, and then left the dead bear in the woods... I asked him why, if he wasn't going to eat it... his answer was "I dunno, just because......" -- Scott Stewart ColdFusion Developer SSTWebworks 7241 Jillspring Ct.
