with either Meadow sitting down at the table, or the guy in the bathroom
walking out and reaching in his jacket while walking up behind Tony?

To me the ending made sense. When the first episode aired, it basically
showed the daily life of Tony and his family, and that is pretty much how it
ended, back to his daily routine minus Bobby and Sil(although we are left
wondering what happens to Sil).
