I have a 32" LCD and had hooked my Dell game box up to it hoping for some great resolution and stuff.
For some reason my video card will only display in 800x600. I have an ATI 9800 pro. Any ideas? -----Original Message----- From: Jim Davis [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, June 11, 2007 10:40 AM To: CF-Community Subject: Re: hooking laptop to a LCD TV?? >I just hooked my Dell 610 to my Olevia 37" LCD TV via the S-Video out >on the laptop. >It works fine but the picture is real blury. Surely there's a >way to get it to recognize this is an HDTV?? S-Video doesn't support HDTV resolutions. Sorry. Most LCD TVs come with either a DVI port or a VGA port - are you sure this one doesn't have one? If not you can also get a component-to-dvi or component-to-vga dongle (monoprice.com usually has them). But to get HDTV resolutions you need to use Component, DVI or HDMI. VGA usually treats the TV as a PnP monitor and is, by far, the simplest option.
