Yes, It is a well known fact that Iran has had a nuclear program since the 50's, and we were the ones who got them started. And in 1979 that effort was disbanded temporarily after the revolution. But if you look, their revived program is being done with much less western influence than the pre-revolution days. I guess that Western countries are not helping them out for a reason, like using their so called peaceful endeavor as a front for wanting to make bombs. Now I have no problem with anyone having a peaceful program aimed at generating electricity for their country, and if that is in fact their intent, then fine, but I don't trust them and apparently a few other Western countries don't trust them either.
