Apparently, we've signed a contract to replace our existing
Advancement product (BSR ADVANCE) with a solution from SAP.

We already have SAP in place for financials and some other stuff.

The problem is... SAP has no advancement product.  (For the
uninitiated, "advancement" is a fancy word for fundraising).

In a perfect world if we upgraded from our existing 15 year old
version of BSR Advance, it would probably take 18 months to implement.
 And it'd be painful - but at least they have a good product (they are
the market leader by far)

Peoplesoft has an advancement product - they got into the market like
10 years ago I guess.  And their product is still pretty inferior to
even what we currently have.

So why should anyone think that SAP can just take their CRM and "make
it work" for Advancement?  No freakin' way.
