We did the same thing at Baylor with Yahoo Enterprise Portal. After one year and one million dollars, the powers that be decided that YEP was a POS and we ended up creating our own portal based on Rainbow. Of course these are the same people who decided that CF was not good enough and made the switch to .NET. So we spent a few years re-writing all of our CF apps into .NET. What a waste of time and money. Oh well, don't work there anymore so I am not sweating it. LOL

It's their job to tell you how to do yours. Dell apparently spent $100 million in an attempt to implement SAP, and scrapped the whole thing to avoid having their entire company get dragged down. Can you imagine, spending $100 million and then deciding the RIGHT decision was to just stop and throw it all away?
