Google, Monster, the usual suspects. Sign up for CF-Jobs, etc...

First and formost - start networking. Today. Find a local CFUG, AUG,
or even a Java group. Go to meetings, participate in email lists. get
your name out there. Participate continuously, not just when you are
looking for a job. There is a difference between a good friend you can
count on and one who only calls you when he needs to borrow money. Be a
good friend to your networking buddies, not the guy who only calls when
he needs something.

Honestly - none. I would attempt to avoid using a recruiting agency if
possible. They are just going to hand you a bunch opportunities that
are also listed on Monster and other job site anyways. There are some
good recruiters out there, but it's an individual person thing, not an
agency thing. I think every agency out there has slimeballs and good
honest people - if you really want to use a recruiter, go with a person
you trust, not an agency you trust.

Local meaning what exactly? This is a global list. Of course, there is
that one really bad employer based on the moon, but I think they are
going through layoffs right now...

Good CF employers are just like any other. Ask alot of very specific
questions at the interview - don't assume anything.
