Never has the violence been "right", though.

So my question is, what makes dog fights so wrong compared with other

A dog's true nature has been bred out of it. It's what separates the
domesticated dog from the wild dogs you mentioned on the national geographic
channel. The domestic dog is a pet, meant to be cared for by a human.
Sending that animal into a pen to die for our amusement....is not exactly
caring for it.

Heck, how's this so different than watching boxing?

I hate boxing so I won't defend it. But, what if the boxers were FORCED to
fight, and the winner routinely killed the loser in the ring? That would be
a bit closer to what the dogs go through in a dog fight.
