Some dogs, for whatever reason (breed, disposition, who knows) just do not
get along with other dogs. My brother had a female Malamut. She was treated
well, liked people, kids, even cats...but for some reason, other female
dogs...she would attack and kill.  He had to make sure he kept her locked up
tight.

I think it just stands to reason that, just as there are some people who are
mean, there are some dogs who are just mean by nature.
