That depends on your use.  If you have 6Mbps of bandwidth, it doesn't
much matter what sort of connection it is as long as it's the same
amount for up- and down-stream transfers.  It could become a bottleneck
depending on what you're planning to do with it.  My initial advice
would be to use a tool like MRTG against your gateway (out to the
Internet) to see the amount of traffic you're actually pushing through
the pipe now compared to what you have available and work from there.
