The government is not competent enough to do it themselves. Are you suggesting the govt should hand out fat contracts to utility companies and energy producers to look for alternatives? They do that already. Maybe more, fatter contracts? I don't know, I see that as the road to wasted spending. No let me correct myself I love it! My company is an expert on ColdFusion, I'd like a government contract to see how we can help the environment. OK, so it isn't *that* ColdFusion, but hey, we mean well!
