My problem with all of this is that, sure, there IS lots of progress here and there - and I think, given our troops, there will continue to be. But none of that is an indicator of direction. The only way Americans will leave Iraq "successfully" is if politicians in Baghdad negotiate an acceptable political agreement and they're so far from that right now the only reasonable characterization is "remote possibility". Look at it this way: 70% of Americans (or more!) think Congress is full of crap, but they're WAY more concerned about their own back yard. That's what's happening in Iraq: people in Ramadi and making the best arrangement for themselves, in the short term, right now. But Baghdad is where the 'war' is. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Download the latest ColdFusion 8 utilities including Report Builder, plug-ins for Eclipse and Dreamweaver updates. http;//www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=labs%5adobecf8%5Fbeta Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:241004 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
