As a volunteer soccer ref, I threw more parents off fields (or threatened to) than kids. And hardly a game went by without a parent needing a reprimand of some sort.
Once, I had to tell four middle-aged women at a 12-year-old kid game that I didn't know who was cursing, but if I heard one more, I'd throw the lot out. I've told parents that if I heard them encouraging fouls, I'd boot them. Once, I did it. I've had many parents who could not keep off my line while I was a line judge (they wanted to be up close and personal while screaming at the kids) so on occasion, the fourth warning has been me lowering my shoulder and pointedly not looking where I was going. My favorite, however, was the woman who insisted I was calling Pushing unfairly. I asked if she'd be willing to let me demonstrate legal and illegal charges on her. She said yes. :-) First, I got to knock her down with my shoulder. Then I got to throw an elbow. That was a great halftime show, let me tell you! --Ben "Get off my line, lady" Doom Bruce Sorge wrote: > I have to agree on this one. > ummmm yeahhhh... have you ever worked in youth sports? :-) > > parents = eeeeviiiilllll ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Get the answers you are looking for on the ColdFusion Labs Forum direct from active programmers and developers. http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/categories.cfm?forumid-72&catid=648 Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:241240 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
