Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try.  This is for a non-profit so the
cost of a ssl cert is not an option at this time.

This is actually the problem, since your Shared SSL has a subdirectory
on the path, you can't use an absolute path like this. Take the forward
slash off the front and it should work then. Of course, a better option
is to just pay for your own SSL. You can get them very cheap now from
places like GoDaddy.
