He totally had me, even through that, until the completely unfelt "and
I've found Jesus".

Had he just looked into the camera, said "I got caught up in bad
things. I started out as a casual spectator, but the excitement and
the element of danger and of being the "baddest kid on the block" went
too far. Way farther than any of us intended. Until I had to look
people I cared for in the eye, I hadn't realized how bad we had
become. I was mortified, completely embarrassed, and made the matter
worse by lying about it.

There is no excuse. I have apoligized to my mother, my family, to
Arthur Blank and to the entire Falcons family. And I regret the
position I have put them, the NFL and Roger in.

Obviously, I have some soul searching to do, and I hope with the
support of my family and my church, I can learn to put this
self-inflicted tragedy behind me."

If he could have said something like that, and meant it, i would have
been much more receptive.
