The SLI would be way, WAY down the line when I try to squeeze another year out of the system. By then, there will probably be a better single card to upgrade to so it's a moot point. Unless I went SLI with THAT card... ;)

I'm getting a 8800gtx graphics card with 768 mb > of ram. If I were to get the 4 gigs or ram, I would be able to use > around 3.232 gigs? Would it drop further if I went to SLI(768 mb video > ram times 2)? I believe so - 32 Bit OSes can only address 4 Gig total: BIOS + RAM + Video memory. Of course there are two things here: 1) If you get an 8800 768MB video card there's NO CONCEIVABLE REASON that you'd ever need to do SLI. That card's a monster! It'd be like inviting Mecha-Godzilla to make Tokyo even flatter! ;^) 2) If you can afford dual 8800's then just splurge and dual boot between a 32 bit and a 64 bit OS. Your goal here will be to use the 64 Bit OS as much as you can (really - especially with new hardware - they're very close to prime time ready) but have the 32 Bit one for backup - eventually you'll just abandon the 32 Bit OS.
