There have also been a number of arrests concerning planned terrorist
attacks, but luckily they were found out at planned.

That article refers, of course, to an alleged terrorist plot and not
> an actual attack.

All plots are alleged until someone gets hurt. It's like running with
scissors, all fun till someone loses an eye.

But we were talking about attacks in countries, not necessarily against the
country in question. Of course, this is splitting hairs as much as saying an
attack against an Israeli target in a country can't count as an attack
against the country.

Politics and media. America really (really, really) wants to present its
Muslim population as being integrated and peaceful. The media will censor a
LOT in order to skew a story (or not present it at all) in order to keep
this facade up. The government will do the same as long as the person in
question is working on his own rather than part of a group. There have been
well over a dozen incidents that would be classified as Islamic terrorism in
America but have been glossed over by the government and media to make them
into 'simple crimes'.
Hows that for irony, the anti-government media and the anti-media government
working together to fool the average American. But this is why the
terrorists are winning. Free speech? Ha!

How's that for a tangent.

It was a wonderful line of comics that lasted 2 months but have been
partially resurrected in the latest crisis. Oh, different tangent. :)
