OK, this statement should not be taken literally, and in all fairness I
should have re-worded it.

Yes, I do hear other issues being discussed on the various news channels
I listen to and the various news web sites I read. Basically what I mean
is, stop trying to pass legislation on the war when you know full well
it does not have a snowballs chance in hell of going anywhere. To me,
that is a waste of time. Sure to the anti-war establishment it is not a
waste of time and might be near and dear to their hearts, but if you
know full well that this has no chance in hell of passing - even as soon
as while you are drafting this legislation - then why bother unless
your_only_motive is to use this as your primary campaign platform, which
goes back to the issue at hand, is this the primary issue you have to
talk about when campaigning?

Yeah, the health care reform plans are interesting, and that is all I
will say on that (I am trying to play nice).

Anyway, I am looking forward to the presidential debates next year (when
the list of candidates are whittled down to the ones that have a
realistic chance) and paying closer attention to those in the house and
senate who are running, and what they are saying/promising/lying about. ;)

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming.
