Windows Media Player does this... although I'm not sure which versions (I
know v11 does).

It fits as many tracks on each disc as it can (you can still shuffle them
around manually, but dragging a track from one disc to another usually sends
another track to the first as well: in others words it always tries to keep
discs full).

You can also just drag "lists" to the burn list: for example just drag the
"5 Stars" icon to the burn list and the player will automatically generate
enough discs to burns all your 5-Star songs. In the same way you can drag
an artist name, genre, year, folder, parental rating, etc - pretty much
anything you can sort or group your music by.

If you've a well-managed library (which really just means well-tagged files)
it's pretty damn useful.

On the "Burn List" you'll see "Current Disc" listed followed by one or more
"Next Disc" listings.

Here's information culled from the help file's "Burning" section:

"If you have selected more files than can fit on one disc, the Player can
burn all of the files to multiple discs. Or you can try switching to burning
the files to a data disc to fit more files on the disc (but note that many
CD players cannot play music burned to a data disc)..."

"In the list, drag files up or down to arrange them in the order you want
them to appear on the disc. If you have chosen to burn more than one disc at
once, make sure that the files will be burned to the disc you want."

"If you are burning multiple discs, insert a blank disc when the first one
has finished burning, and then click Start Burn. Repeat this step until you
have finished burning all of the discs."
