Okay, so two votes for DirecTV ... what about having a phone line? We don't have home phone service and probably won't get it since we both use cell phones and skype. Is it required for DirecTV? Will it be required for any kind of DSL service?

Overall I've been very happy with it. You'll see some downtime with heavy storms but they appear to be working on it, as we had storms today and the downtime was minimal. They've centralized a lot of their installation crews, so a lot of it's under the DirecTV banner, I had some installation problems with a state of the art HD receiver, but after having a supervisor do the install it's worked perfectly. I think DSL has a better track record than cable internet, and is certainly more secure. -- Scott Stewart ColdFusion Developer SSTWebworks 4405 Oakshyre Way Raleigh, NC. 27616 (703) 220-2835 http://www.sstwebworks.com http://www.linkedin.com/in/sstwebworks Boycott Sys-Con ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Download the latest ColdFusion 8 utilities including Report Builder, plug-ins for Eclipse and Dreamweaver updates. http;//www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=labs%5adobecf8%5Fbeta Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:245040 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
