And that moon, incidentally, is about 15% bigger and brighter this evening.....it's about 30,000 miles closer to the earth than normal. I guess the moon's orbit is elliptical. I know it was absolutely stunning this morning when I was driving to work, hanging low and orange on the still-dark western horizon.
