I've got all of the linksys equip, including a wireless bridge and it
works OK. Then, just a few weeks ago I bought a D-Link Draft-N
Extreme and matching desktop card including the extra antenna.

I like the D-Link router software a lot better and the router/card
combo seems to work great (my desktop is on the opposite corner of my
house, 1 level up, from my router). Plus, it appears that MacBook
Pros have Draft-N even though they say they don't because when my Mac
connects, it does so on Draft-N and prefers the D-Link router.

I have tried the DD-WRT stuff, but mostly I've stuck with the regular firmware.

I will say that with my linksys equip I did get droupouts and
inconsistent service and found that it mostly happened with WPA-2 w/
non-TKIP encryption.

The D-Link allows you to pick encryption methods and my Linksys
Wireless bridge prefers TKIP so I have the D-Link setup to use TKIP
for the bridge and the other one (can't remember) for everything else.

With that set-up I get full power reception on all my wireless devices
and haven't had a single drop since.
