ok to to a quick rehash: bought ipod few years ago and bought what I was told a replacement warranty, which ended up being so.
Took ipod in to BB, they said it would be back in 2 weeks. My sheet they gave me gave the date as 11/26 for it to be back. On 11/30 I hadn't heard from them so I called them and they looked it up and saw that it hadn't even been looked at yet. Got on with a manager and told him it wasnt acceptable and told him about his employee lying about the warranty to get a sale and he said he would order the ipod back to the store and when it returned they would give me a new one. The called me on monday and said it was on the truck and on its way back and would be in no later that friday(today). I called tonight and of course it hadn't came in yet so I ask the lady "why do I need to wait for you to get it back to do an exchange after all it is in your possession not mine & she said she didn't know but would ask. She comes back and says well we don't need to wait but it just makes it easier for us to deal with but you can come down right now and bring whatever you still have that came with it and we'll trade you out. So I go in and after a bit they tell me to go to the display and get the one i want. So I do that and come back and it turns out that I paid $299 for it and $50 for the warranty and since they couldn't give me money back on the warranty they gave me a new one. So either way around 3 weeks later I got a new one (had a 30gb video and got an 80gb video) with a new 3 year warranty.
