Rick, I have looked into this in the past. The Directv community has been
waiting to hear word about products coming out of the agreement with
Microsoft, but the last I checked a couple of weeks ago, a Directv person
posting on a community forum basically said don't get your hopes up in the
short term, because all of the content providers are scared to death of the
possibility of their goods being stored on a computer in HD, even with DRM
technology.

Directv, btw, kicks ass for HD.
