I've done several stints at Best Buy during the holiday season... did it back in 1995 and again in 1999... lots of fun, really. And I remember pushing things on people they didn't need, like gold-plated IEEE-1284 printer cables, gold plated USB cables, extra printer cartridges, powerful surge protectors, etc. Believe it or not, the only thing I felt good about pushing on people while working there was the service plans. Particularly on laptops. 1080i vs. 1080p - not a big deal for most people out there except those who WANT to spend more money. I'm very happy with the picture quality of my low budget 3 year old 1080i Westinghouse. The only time I notice that it's cheap is when text scrolls like on the ESPN bottom line.. gets kinda blurry while it scrolls. > out of the water". And god help those who do. > He also asked me if he should pay $300 for a guy to come out to his > house and do a color calibration. I just shook my head in disbelief. I hope he at least bought the service plan =) You spend $3200 on a TV, you'd better buy a service plan to go with it to guarantee that it works for 4 years, or that someone will come to your house and fix it if it does't :) (All the best buy service plans for big TVs are "in home") -- Rick Root Check out CFMBB, BlogCFM, ImageCFC, ImapCFC, CFFM, and more at www.opensourcecf.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;160198600;22374440;w Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:249169 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
