that's gonna require some high power crunching. The reason why hd dvr's can do it right now is because the stream they receive is already compressed. They just need to write the stream to the HD. If you're going to use a capture card on an hd stream, it's gonna have to be able to compress 1080i video streams on the fly. I'm not sure that if that's even available, that it'll even be affordable.
