I think a lot of if comes from the strange battle in our heads over
infinity and, um finity-- er, the finite.
Maybe it's comforting to some people to think that there is an end--
and answer to every question, to where, someday, there is no question.
These would be the "god does not exist" crowd, obviously. "Things are
finite and knowable, and Science will prove it!"
Then there's the crowd that realizes that we could have been blue
pilled, right? We keep forgetting that fact, it seems-- that we don't
even know what we are!
What reality is, if it exists outside our sensory inputs-- I mention
the Matrix and Trees Falling in Forests, not only to appear how I do,
but because they embody pretty fun, important-to-think-about-at-least
concepts. (And I heard that there's this bar where talking about them
will get you laid! =])
"Spooky action at a distance" not only to appear quackish, but because
it has pretty amazing implications to, you know, everything.
Faith, to me, has something to do with infinity, and the cyclical
search for answers (or perhaps the right questions). That there's
something "more", sorta. Always.
Which may rather imply everything is nothing, or some kind of strange
yin-yang type deal.
The more things change, the more they stay the same, so to speak.
