There was a principle of a local elementary school there trying to decide if she wanted to start her daughter there. She was explaining to us that the public school teachers were well aware of the Montessori methods and would love to implement them, but were not allowed the time to implement them.
To me, it's a pretty powerful statement when you're the principle of a school and you don't even want your own daughter going to it.
