Maybe Navy _Officer_ wives. Because most of the Navy wives I know are
not the model of decorum.
She was married to him for about a year before he got out of the Navy.
Then he went to work for her daddy. They met 2 years before that, so
she might have been a Navy "mistress" for a while.
