The storage I was referring to was the black hole of forgotten factoids.  :)

I live in Kansas so I'm all too familiar with creationism. One of their big
talking points is that evolution is taught as a fact when it should be
taught as a theory.

Not really sure what you mean by that, other than they will file it away
where they store all their other facts...? If you are going to study
science, it's imperative that you know what a scientific theory is.

I'm sure you are right. Most people know instinctively what is the proper
course of action here.  That is why it should be a mere formality that THE
central doctrine of biological study should be required learning.

Amazing that there is even a debate, but as I've said in the past....you
will never be disappointed by underestimating the human animal.
