Unless those consequences are physically violent, I got that. But your
conclusions seemed to suggest that ANY physical discipline, no matter how

Well, i'm looking at several incidences that occurred over the period of my
childhood. I wasn't spanked very often because I didn't commit too many
egregious offenses.

I dunno...all these studies are nice, but I think it's just common sense:
Don't inflict bodily harm on your child, but physical discipline like a
spanking or what not can be an effective form of discipline in certain
instances, and with certain children.
