Dealerships in general are evil. My experience has been that Toyota
dealerships in particular are particularly evil. A number of years
ago, we were leasing a Corolla from a dealership in Phoenix. About
1/2 way thru the lease, they contacted us and told us they could get
us into a newer model Corolla for less than what we were paying now.
We thought that sounded pretty good. My wife went down to the
dealership (the lease was in her name), and they started playing the
funky numbers game. Luckily for us, we have a friend who sold cars,
and I had her call him from the dealership. He confirmed that they
were trying to fuck us without lube. So she walked out.

A couple of weeks later, they called back, and said that based on her
credit (suggesting that they already ran the numbers), they could
definitely put us in a newer model Corolla for less money per month.
This time all 3 of us went down (my wife and me, and my friend). They
showed us the new Corolla (it was very shiny). They put together a
deal that looked to be pretty good. As good as (if not better than)
our current deal, and a newer car to boot. Looked like a done deal.

Until...

We were about to sign the papers when the finance guy came barrelling
out of the 'finance room' and said that the interest rate would be
higher (and thus the monthly payments as well) than what we had just
discussed because my wife's credit came back less than they had
anticipated.

Now I was livid. They called us. They called us and said that they
could offer us this deal. They called us and said that they could
offer us this deal *based on my wife's credit*. Now, all of the
sudden, her credit wasn't good enough. It wasn't as if anything had
happened in the 24 hours between the time that they called us with the
offer and the time that we went down to accept it that would have
altered her credit in any way. Obviously, they just had an ass-raping
that they needed to deliver to somebody, and they figured that
somebody could or should be us.

I made a small scene, telling them in a voice loud enough for everyone
in the showroom to hear, that they shouldn't call us again with any
"deals" and that I was tired of getting fucked around by them.

I'd like to think there's a very special place reserved for car
dealers in Hell that involves being eternally slapped about the face
and neck area by oprah's giant pulsating clit.
