I think the only thing he really is in jeopardy for is obscuring the funds
to hide the source.

The feds _really_ don't like that.

The Mann act, as people pointed out, is a punitive piling-on, usually used
to help come to a deal, or historically to punish morality and prejudice
(although, with the rewrite in the 80s, that is much harder)
