Exactly - even if there's nothing wrong we've gotta make it look good! It's also not limited to 'puters. If you want to have the crap scared out of you get one of those "free inspections" from a home security firm (or a baby-proofing firm, or fire alarm installers, mold or termite folks, etc). We make money off your fear so we've got to scare you. It's not really "wrong" - they're not really LYING... but it's defiantly disingenuous (and more than a little sleazy).
